Thoughtful interiors deserve thoughtful production.
When we started Meredith House, we knew we wanted to do things differently.
Rather than filling warehouses with stock, every metre of our fabric and every roll of wallpaper is printed especially for you, once you've placed your order.
It means a little more patience.
But we think it's worth it.
Made for Your Home, Not a Warehouse
There's something rather lovely about knowing your order didn't exist until you chose it.
Your fabric is printed especially for you, whether you're making curtains for a new home, recovering a treasured armchair or hanging wallpaper in a room that needs cheering up.
It's a quieter, more considered way of making beautiful interiors.

Quality Takes Time
We're all used to next-day delivery.
There's nothing wrong with convenience, but beautiful interiors are rarely created overnight.
The homes we love most evolve slowly. They're layered over time with pieces chosen carefully because they'll be enjoyed for years rather than seasons.
We think fabric and wallpaper deserve the same approach.
3. Less Waste, More Purpose
One of the biggest advantages of print-to-order is simple.
We only make what people genuinely want.
Instead of producing thousands of metres, each order is printed specifically for our clients.
That means less surplus stock, no discontinued collections and less waste.
We’re not perfect, every manufacturing process has an environmental footprint, but we believe producing thoughtfully is a more responsible way to create beautiful interiors.
Printed in Britain
Keeping production close to home was important to us from the very beginning.
Working with British printers allows us to maintain high standards, support specialist craftsmanship and keep a close eye on quality throughout the production process.
It also means shorter supply chains, a smaller carbon footprint and the confidence that every order has been produced with care.
What Does Print-to-Order Mean for You?
Because your fabric or wallpaper is printed after you place your order, it isn't sitting on a shelf ready to be dispatched the next day. There is a little more waiting involved, but we think it's a worthwhile trade-off.
Your order is produced specifically for your project, with the same care whether you're ordering a single metre for a cushion or enough fabric to transform a whole room.
If you're choosing fabric for your next project, our guide to How to Choose Curtain & Blind Fabric is a good place to start.
Why We Think It Matters
Choosing fabric or wallpaper isn't an everyday purchase.
It's often part of something much bigger.
A room you're renovating. A family home that's changing. A favourite chair that's been passed down through generations.
These are decisions that stay with us for years.
We think the products that become part of those stories deserve to be made with the same level of care that went into choosing them.

Our Promise
We started Meredith House because we believe our homes should tell our stories. Every pattern we design is inspired by the people, places and things we love most, and printing each order especially for its new home feels like the natural extension of that philosophy.
At Meredith House, we believe beautiful interiors are built slowly and thoughtfully. You can read more about our story here.
